Ford Focus Spec. 1.8 litre Zetec base engine. New direct from Ford.
These engines include the standard clutch and flywheel, inlet system, fuel rail, injectors, exhaust header and all the pulleys etc.

We've had a lot of questions on these engines relating to the Mondeo "Silver" top engines. At present we can't provide the older Zetec units new, although we can provide many tuning parts for these. These new base units are the later derivative from the Ford Focus, referred to as the "Black" top. If you are building a kit car for the road there are very few differences to concern you between the two engines. However as far as racing regulations might be concerned there are several differences.
If you are considering swapping an older Zetec unit to these new ones, there will be very little difference in your installation, but, particularly in normal road cars there may be issues like engine mount positions, water pump position etc that you may have to take into consideration.
