This is a cotton, which feels like paper. "Gima" literally means "fake linen" in Japanese. It feels like linen paper if you do not know it! Great to knit in single. Beautiful warp & weft yarn for weavers also. Looks beautiful in simple stokinette, but also great in seed stitch or just garter (very three dimentional) It may feel stiff in the beginning, but will soften greatly.
