A workshop as an introduction to lace knitting, including choice of yarn and needles for lace, how to cast on and cast off for lace, reading lace charts, shaping in different directions, how to make the ‘holes’ which characterise lace knitting, lace knitting versus knitted lace, how to correct mistakes and how to keep track of more complex patterns.
Needles will be provided and yarn is included in the cost. Suitable for anyone already confident with basic knitting: casting on and off, knit and purl.
