This is the a knitting course for complete beginners, and will set you off on your way to knitty brilliance.
Three Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at the I Knit London shop and sanctuary for knitters, 106 Lower Marsh, Waterloo, SE1 7AB
- casting on and off (including different ways to achieve different edges)
- knit and purl stitches (and combinations; moss stitch, stocking stitch, ribbing etc)
- how to handle your yarn and needles
- increasing and decreasing to create shaping and buttonholes
- quick fixes for mistakes
- yarn weights/gauges and how to choose correctly for your project
- friendly, relaxed atmosphere
- tea and chocolate biscuits (or somehting stronger from the licenced bar!)
