Simple Colour Knitting – Stripes and Slip Stitches
If you’re still fairly new to knitting, know the basics and now want to explore simple ways to use different colours and textures in your knitting, this is the workshop for you. We’ll look at how to knit stripes wide and narrow for different types of project, tying in new colours, and how to manage lots of different colours at a time. You’ll work stripes and learn how to use slip stitches to make gorgeous and unique knitted fabrics. In this workshop you’ll learn ‘how to’ and technique, and work samples: patterns for stunning scarves and bags will be given out so you can go on to use your skills in a project. Suitable for anyone already confident with basic knitting: casting on and off, knit and purl.
