First select a pattern in the correct size range and decide if you want to knit a jacket or a pullover, and whether your child would prefer a round or a V-neck.
Next, consider whether you want to knit the basic garment or browse the Style variations for collars, hoods, side vents, panels, fastenings, edgings and pockets to alter the garment's shape.
Then, to enhance your knitted fabric with alternative textures or edgings, turn to the Stitch library for different stitch patterns, edgings, borders and a large selection of lace and textured patterns.
Finaly, look through the themed motifs in the Motif library and pick one or more that suits the garment and the child. Have fun choosing from animals, birds, toys, planes, flowers, stars and many more motifs.
