Response Technical Services is proud to announce its Repair or Replace initiative for customers who are considering replacing their document scanner or microfilm reader printer.
Response Technical Services is now able to offer its customers a cost effective solution to the repair or replace dilemma. Our Repair or Replace program provides customers with a controlled repair cost which will in the majority of cases will get the machine back in perfect working order at a fraction of the replacement cost. However if it is found that expensive parts or additional labour are necessary you will have the option to stop the repair and to off-set the costs against a suitable replacement machine. Meaning you will not have incurred any additional costs.
How does the Repair or Replace program work?
When you contact us you need to register the initial call under this program. Written authorisation is required for at least the initial visit cost as detailed below. If you are unsure of the product group we will be able to advise you.
Once you have provided us with your contact details and a brief description of the equipment, after a brief telephone / email consultation with one of out technical specialists, we will advise you on the viability of a repair? Where it is decided to attempt a repair one of our field technicians will attend site usually within 2 days. This initial visit cost will be based upon a fixed labour time depending on the model groups below:-
Desktop Scanners £80.00 Providing Travel and up to 45 minutes on-site labour
Workgroup / Departmental £140.00 Providing Travel and up to 75 minutes on-site labour
Production Scanners £180.00 Providing Travel and up to 90 minutes on-site labour
Microfilm Reader Printers £140.00 Providing Travel and up to 75 minutes on-site labour
If during this visit it becomes apparent that additional labour time and spare parts will be necessary Response Technical Services will provide a full quotation of the additional costs. At this point customers will have the option to continue with the repair or to purchase a replacement product from RTS Imaging Superstore.
Where it is decided to replace the machine there will be no charge for the service visit. However if we are instructed to continue with the repair, the initial agreed fees together with any additional charges for parts or extra labour as agreed, cannot be off-set against the cost of a replacement machine.
