Prices

All prices on this WebShop are quoted in GBPounds and will be charged to Credit and Debit cards in that currency. Your bank will apply an Exchange Rate calculation to that price and present you with a price in the currency that you are billed. Exchange Rates and any commission applied by your bank are not under the control of the Standard Motor Club.

Taxes

Our prices do not include local Value Added Tax as we are not VAT registered. Customs and Excise charges may be aplicable to exported goods and if so will be applied locally.

Orders for multiple items

To order multiples of the same item you should either:

  • order the same item multiple times, or more easily,
  • In the checkout screen, change the default quantity of  x 1 to the multiple you require. The price will automaticaly be adjusted
Delivery Charges
 
Delivery charges for Membership Packs and Renewals are included in the published prices
 
UK Delivery for Spare Parts and Regalia will be added automatically during the checkout process. We hope to add delivery charges for Europe and RoW shortly but in the meantime you should enquire for overseas carriage charges.
 
Purchase of One-off Spares Items:
 
It is possible to purchase many other Spare Parts from the Webshop. Please enquire to pre48spares@standardmotorclub.org.uk for a quotation. Each quotation will be given a quotation number and a total price including delivery. Enter both items in your order and it will be processed in the usual manner.

Acknowledgements

On receipt of any order we will automatically acknowledge it by email so that you know that the order has been received. Processing of your order may take a number days thereafter. Remember that the WebShop is staffed by volunteers, but you will be advised of progress as follows

When your payment has been authorised by your bank we will send you a further email saying;

  • If you have ordered a New Membership then you will be advised that the Membership Pack has been dispatched
  • If you have ordered Spare Parts or Regalia you will be advised that your order has been dispatched. That Email is also sent to the Club Officer advising him to fulfil the order. There will be a slight delay while the order on the Officer is processed.
  • If you are Renewing a Membership you will be advised that the order is completed. You should expect that the next magazine will be delivered - except if there has been a break in membership, in which case the magazines will be restarted from the next available issue.
Acknowledgement of Rally Entries
  • If you have sent in a Rally Entry, then you will be advised that the order is processed, but we will not debit your card until one month before the event. The Rally Entry Pack will be delivered about three weeks before the Rally

Unforseen Delays

If the Product or Service you have ordered is delayed we will advise you by Email , informing you of delay and giving you the option to cancel.

Payment Failure

If your bank refuses to authorise payment we will advise you by email that the payment has been declined. If you wish to cancel, do nothing. If you wish to re-order please place a new order.

Processing Time for New Members

Please allow 3 weeks from clearance of funds for Delivery of the Membership Pack by Mail. Airmail is used for overseas delivery

Processing time for renewals

Please allow 3 weeks from clearance of funds to your name being re-instated on the mailing list. If you have renewed more than 2 months after renewal was due there is the possibility that you will miss one or more editions of the magazine.

Processing Time for Orders for Spare Parts and Regalia

Please allow 3 weeks from clearance of funds for Delivery of parts. Airmail or Courier Services are used for overseas delivery.

Availability of Spare Parts

The description and prices of Spare Parts on this WebShop are correct at the time of publication. They may be changed at any time, usually because we have restocked and the new description and/or price are different.  You will be offered the chance to cancel the order.

We are unable to supply Spare Parts to Delivery Addresses in the USA and Canada.

Suitability of Spare Parts

All parts are supplied in good faith and the belief that the application is as described. If for any reason the parts are not suitable for the application and are returned unused, a refund or credit note will be offered.

Use of your EMail Address

We may use your email address periodically to advise you of new products in the WebShop or other new Club Services.

Availability of the WebShop

We aim to have the WebShop available 24 hours a day for everyday of the year. There may be small periods where the service or parts of the shop are unavailable due to maintenance or housekeeping.
